Tamal Dey
Bio:
Tamal joined Prof. Ramanathan’s group at the ECE Department of Rutgers University in January 2024. After receiving his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India in 2022, Tamal worked for another year at IIT Kharagpur as a research associate. He worked on the fabrication and characterization of thin films and nanomaterials-based electrical devices. After Ph.D., his research interest is focused on electrical devices for brain-inspired computation.
Research: Tamal works on studies of plasticity in perovskite nickelates, which will be important for neuromorphic learning and the hardware implementation of artificial intelligence.
