Ranjan Patel

Bio:
I joined Prof. Ramanathan’s group as a postdoctoral research researcher after earning a Ph.D. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India (2023). During my Ph.D., I studied strongly correlated physics, especially the structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of thin film oxides, superlattices, and high entropy oxides by aliovalent and isovalent doping in the rare-earth nickelate family.

Research:My current research is focused on exploring extreme environments to synthesize hidden/metastable phases towards discovery of novel properties of complex oxides.
